The Peninsula Art Association was organized in 1990 to bring Olympic Peninsula area visual artists together to exchange ideas and information. We wish to contribute to the motivation and recognition of our members while providing opportunities for education and instruction. We are also fortunate to include many art supporters who want to encourage artistic achievement and help make visual art an integral part of our everyday lives.
Our artists have a wide variety of interest and skills. From traditional works to unique and fanciful creations, there's something for everyone! Painting and drawing in all media, ceramics, bronze and wood sculpture and turning, stained glass, screen printing, graphic design and a variety of photographic styles are all used to express our members' visions. Their skills encompass the whole spectrum from beginner to renowned professionals.
Annually, in conjunction with the Shelton Arts Commission, the Peninsula Art Association sponsors a
Spring Fine Art Show.
Artists are welcome to enter their original art for this show. Categories include: Oil and Acrylics; Watercolor, Gouache, Inks and Hand-Pulled Prints; Pastel, Colored Pencil, Charcoal and Graphite; Photography; 3-Dimensional Works; Mixed Media.
PENINSULA ART ASSOCIATION DOES NOT MEET JUNE AND JULY. ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!
